Qigong practice is one of the highest forms of healing, next to meditation. It is used extensively in Chinese hospitals for patients to promote their own healing or can be received as a treatment from a high level practitioner.
Qigong is taught in both Tai Chi and Shiatsu classes, as a means to clear and strengthen the system of the practitioner. Regular practice is a fundamental requirement to one's energetic development and self-awareness. Qigong teaching can also be arranged on a one to one basis or in small groups. The meaning of "Gong" denotes skill derived from persistent and dedicated practice. Nevertheless, huge benefits are available to even the layperson, who is prepared to commit a little time each day to their own wellbeing.
