Corporate Work
It is becoming increasingly popular to introduce the benefits of Tai Chi into the workplace. Putting Tai Chi principles into practice can, amongst other things:

- reduce stress;
- improve health, efficiency and productivity;
- improve personal and team effectiveness;
- develop interpersonal skills and communication;
- improve confidence, focus and mental clarity;
- develop flexibility and tolerance;
- help in conflict resolution and change management and bring about emotional balance.
Liz has been working with various organisations over the years, such as:
- GlaxoSmithKline
- Napp Pharmaceuticals
- Enfield Social Services
- Quantum Care
- HomeStart
- East Herts Council
- British Red Cross
- Regular workshops for Age Concern.
as well as teacher training in various schools and work with voluntary organisations, both on-site and at residential conference and training centres.
A popular introduction to Tai Chi in large organisations and companies is to incorporate sessions into management and staff training courses, conferences and residential meetings, often preparing staff for an effective working day.
One or two hour sessions can be tailored to specific groups and made relevant to their work. Even a short session would give:
- an introduction to the principles and how they can be used in the everyday work environment
- self-assessment of use of personal resources
- physical and mental relaxation techniques
- increased focus and awareness
- techniques for stress reduction and improved interpersonal skills.
Training packages, courses and workshops can be designed to suit the needs of each organisation, both through Liz and through the John Ding Academy in London.
Courses are taught through a series of group activities and partnered work. The courses are entirely experiential combining physical and mental processes. The exercises are low-impact and adaptable to most states of health and disability.
